To open the door you must kill all three boomers within several seconds of one another. This is the door you’ve got to get through but there’s a trick that must be completed for it to open. You can find the Asylum just past the Founts area which can be reached via the door at the bottom right of the Mausoleum.Īfter dropping into the prison area from the founts, follow the path until you come to an area with three Major Boomers in front of a door. You can find Escthar in the Asylum on the Dreadnaught. A kill with a hit from the hilt will count as well.
It should also be noted that the sword doesn’t have to have ammo for the kill to count. The guardian kills will be up to your personal preference, but Rumble is always a good bet as it gives you the most targets to kill at one time. Strikes are a great source of major enemies so load up your favorite one and run it until you’re done. Getting the sword though is not so easy, and involves several different quests that will take you from the Crucible to the Dreadnaught and back to the tower. The exotic sword is one of the more powerful heavy weapons in the game, allowing you to quickly bash your way through enemies with a single swipe.
